Thanks to all who frequented Pamet Tackle and will see you in the spring! 10/1 This Saturday proved excellent from the beach with bass up to 25#. Using sandeels and metals. Sunday was slow from the beach due to change in winds. Heavy NW seems to be producing best fishing on the Race so try to be there when it blows hard. Lots of bass from the boats. Tons of fish breaking around Race Pt. Lots of shorts and keepers a mix. Footballs to 80 # yesterday trolling. Boat charters Schooney and Reel Deal picking nice ones. Not much word on giants though. 9/26 Strong SW today producing not much. couple of shorts this morning from Race Point. Ballston last night with eels and not even a bump. Blufish blitz around noon today at Head of the Meadow moving to the souterly direction. Overall beach report= SLOW. Not many out on the water except tuna boats at Peaked Hills. 9/25 Blue and bass have been kind of scarce from the beach as far as reports go. Few fish just over 28" here and there. Nothing to write home about. Again good boat action with jigging bucktails picking fish to 42". Tuna are plentiful but pickey( footalls). Heavy SW winds to mash it up a bit. Stay tuned. 9/10 Blue fish seem to be everywhere. Backside beaches to bay, Race Pt and Herring cove. Feeding on massive schools of peanut bunker. Few keeper bass mixed in. Try Head of Meadow and look for clean pockets of water. Cast when there are no seals around. Boat action good over weekend using tube and worm and jigging. 9/2/07 Mung reported from south beach acces point to Ballston Beach. Beach fishing at Corn Hill -Cold Storage producing lots of schoolies to 24", great for light tackle/fly. Action for boats slowed a little but will pick up soon as H2O temps drop and fish start moving. 8/29/07 Big blues of Race Pt. and Herring Cove. Nice Bass up to 40inches with wire and tube and worm. Calm winds are allowing some reat yak fishin. Mung reported off South side to Head of Meadow. Still good action in the tuna department. Keep posted as I will try a daily mung report. Tuna have been caught daily in the 40-80# class. Check in with our boat charters for getting in on the action! 8/05/07 Race Point good place from beach. Not so much mung here. Keeper bass at daybreak. Boat action picked up past couple days from cooler temps. Football tuna slowed a bit. Little over a week left on fluke season. Still lots of blues around. 7/30/07 Nice fish taken off Race Point. Access with SUV allow for more beaches to fish. Live eels from both beach and shore seem to been popular bait pick along with sand eels. Lots of blue fish to be caught just about everywhere. Bob Rice picked up 60# class tuna trollin off Race Pt on Sunday. 7/19/07 Fishing better from beaches as far as some solid bluefish action and some big ones too. Better chances for bass at change of light. Coast Guard, Ballston Herring Cove best bets. Shoolie bluefin around but finicky lately. Fluke bite picking up for those fishing a bit farther out of harbor and cottages. 7/4/07 Happy Fourth! Fish to 35# taken off Race P. by boat. Methods are wire line jigging, tube and worm, and trolling swimmers. Shore anglers experience some action at the Pamet with mostly fish to 28". On the great backside beach report bass and blues using sandeels, live eels and plugs. Nothing spectacular since much of beach access is still limited due to closures. Hopefully opening up North side in week or so.

Beach action has been producing tons of small fish and some blues too. 6/15/07 Fishing has been quite good. This weekend hope to get some fresh bait in. It was too windy for the guys to rake. Needle fish and diamond jigs dragged on the bottom working well for the surf crew. 6/13/07 Sorry bout the delay. Most backside beaches report of weed washing in making it difficult.
